LinkUp has been selected by the Fonds  Français pour l’Alimentation et la Santé, an expert-industry scientific structure, for the field real-life implementation of the largest experiment to date in this area, ordre by the French ministre of Health and aimed at comparing the efficiency of 4 graphic consumer nutritional information systems.

Over a three-month period, 2 million products will be labelled with one of the four systems across 4 different food categories. 60 supermarkets (including 20 control stores) will participate in the study while 70 staffers will be in charge of constantly labelling the products in each store. 6 auditors, 20 dietitians as well as the agents from the Bureau of Fraud Prevention will monitor the good implementation of the study.

The result or this unprecedented experiment are expected early next year, so that the Ministry of Health can adopt the most efficient system for France, and possibly present it at the EU level. The adopted system will remain voluntary for food manufacturers.
